Be Here Now

I am a monster!

Seriously.  Check that shit out.

Not only is it a giant sausage foot, but it appears to have grown an inch and a half in length.  You should’ve seen that huge pudge-foot jammed into a black pump for work today.  Sexy as hell.

But here’s the good stuff!

That’s me with the circle around my head.  The pictures were shot on the first rapid but I later ended up spending much of the trip in the front spot which, if nothing else, is good for getting wet.  The guy across from me, in the white helmet, was a river guide trainee who looked EXACTLY like Orlando Bloom!  So, you know, that was a nice bonus.  There’s a few more pics here.

I have to admit that a little bit of impatience is setting in.  I know that sometimes the healing process takes you down the worse-before-better road, which is evident in the swelling and bruising, but not evident in the pain - which is nothing more than stiffness and vague soreness.  So I begin to have this notion that if I could just wiggle my foot into a sneaker there would be nothing to stop me.  Yeah, don’t worry.  I’m silly - not quite that silly though.  But man, the novelty of having a clown foot is definitely beginning to wear off.

WHOA! That looks bad! Are you sure its ok? There isn’t some internal bleeding thing going on so that it will explode at some point?

Can you wear loose shoes at work? Slippers? They must have some allowance for injured feet.
