I do hope the docs figure it all out....I have a feeling you'll be back on a schedule, putting it all together, and making it work--happily:) Pillow is on its way, but I forgot to put in a note:(

I know what you are talking about, when you've been sidetracked, cleared to start again and really don't have the desire, be it from fear or not. It's a sickly little place that can drive you from pity to indignance in just a few minutes.
Verily, I say, when you turn in those first couple of runs, it gets to you like the first sip of a cold beer on a hot summer day.
What are you gonna do? Drink that sucker down!

if anyone was ever NOT built to run, it's me. i wish i at least had the LOVE part of your relationship with running...but unfortunately, my dating habits leave much to be desired. It's that feeling afterwards that gets me...and keeps me...but i live in constant fear of hurting myself. i know the feeling, and it sucks to feel like that all the time.

so no words of wisdom, but i'm glad you are back on the saddle (off the saddle?) on the trail, doing what you love. and long may you run.

I know what you mean about injuries being frustrated and then seeming to be okay and then all of a sudden flairing up again. It's the worst thing ever and it doesn't seem like there's ever anything we can do about it. Good luck with your running, and hopefully those flair ups will stay at bay

No sense pushing the Boilermaker, listen to your body and build your running up gradually. I can relate to the love/hate relationship with Biking/Swimming, I do them because I've convinced myself they need to be done, but that's about it. On the other side, it used to be like that with running, but then one day I saw the light and it has turned into my real joy in life. Don't give up hope, just do what you can.
