Lara, I've been following your running blog for beyond a year now. Since we live, "right down the road" from you (Sherrill) and your running activities mirror my daughters (Chili Chili, Boilermaker, AHA, etc.), I thought I'd drop you a line once you mentioned snowshoeing. We've attended 2 races (Camden, Glimmerglass), and plan for many more this season - if the weather would only cooperate. Drop me a line and we can compare notes / plans.

I hope you get to use your new "shoes" soon. Don't get stressed out about your running - you'll be out there one day and everything will click. Runner's don't need as much time to get back in the groove as non-runner's. You are a runner, we have the battle scars to prove it.

Running will all come back just like planting that IV right whre it belonged. Your return to shape will take less time than it did the first time because you'll know better when you can push and when to lay back. You're smarter and more capable. Go girl.
Nice yaktrax! or whatever you northerners call those things.
