What a fantastic recap, and your times!! wow!!!! And so cool that you found someone to run with.

I think we all need a race rule that says “when you need to take off, take off, and nobody’s feelings get hurt.” OK? Can’t we all just agree? Cuz I drive myself MENTAL worrying about leaving people, though, like you, I would never ever in a million billion years tell someone to hang back for me!!

I’m makin’ a rule. Maybe the blogfather can make it official.

I am so happy you were able to stay in NY and run this race, despite your urge to go to the Gulf Coast. That was a wonderfully described report of a really cool race. You had so much fun! and feel so positive! What a high to carry into your new job.

Lara, Congrats on what sounds like a GREAT race! You clearly did a great job of preparing for it, both physically and mentally. Wish I could have joined you, but I definitely was not properly prepared – maybe next year!

It’s so hard to believe that you are the same person who was worried about running 5 WHOLE MILES earlier this year! Thanks for sharing, I felt like I was right there with you. Our halfs were amazingly similar actually… hmmm, perhaps we need to do one together!
