Thanks so much for the kind words about my "PodCast". I know what you mean about running with an Ipod (in my case, I use an "I-River", but it's the same idea). I'm training for both the Bay State and Cape Cod Marathon's in October, and I'd lose my mind were it not for PodCasts...interestingly, I rarely listen to my own show...but it was very kind of you to recommend my show to others. As I get closer to these races I'll be spending more time on my inane training techniques...(also, as I train for Boston starting in Jan), but I'm enjoying your Blog here and your entries are very inspirational!

How rude!! And dangerous!! My lovely crescent trail has a pretty decent code workin' on it; everyone yells on your left, even the runners. (Well, most everyone.)

I am sooooooo inspired by your slowing down! You have no idea! Why am I always trying to outdo myself (well on short runs anyway). I think it just ends up with me hating to run bcs I end up killing myself trying to go fast. I'm going to follow your lead Lara, honest! And good luck with the hip. You will kick New Haven (my home town)'s ass!

and p.s. Oh I so want an ipod now so I can listen to slate too! And other cool stuff! and be one of the cool kids! :)

Sounds like you have a good grip on your running speed now. I think the consistent pace is a good sign that you are finding your groove. I would offer that once you running consistently at a slower pace you will eventually be able to increase this and still remain at a consistent pace. This has been my experience anyway. Have fun in New Haven, I wish I could join you guys, sounds like the RBF is going to leave a lasting impression in this part of the world :-)

I wish I had a video montage of you yelling at the idiot bikers (no offense to the well mannered RBF bikers). It would be so funny!

Glad the pain is subsiding again after your PT visit. I found my back took a long time to get better even after all the adjustment. I guess injury caused by things getting out of whack takes time to heal too. I hope it all stays where it should for you. You deserve some pain free running.

Can't wait til next week!

Woo hoo, and I can't wait to see you! I'll email with directions etc when I get back to CT tonight. In the meantime, good job on the stretches and keeping that hip behaving. Aren't those podcasts great? I was laughing at the Falmouth comments the other morning, wondering what in hell people thought of me running along laughing all the way! Maybe we should do our own podcast of the New Haven 5K. Then we could stand there and comment and cheer as all the other runners come in from the 20K! Hehe:)See you soon!
