We have some great cross-country trails near me that are NOT covered with horse sh!t (in fact, horses are not allowed on them, much to my chagrin when I am riding!), so if you ever feel like trying the trails again, let me know. And as for your last post - yes, we need to keep in mind that the 1/2M we're training for is also in the Adirondack MOUNTAINS! Better the half than the full, though, in that respect. And I agree with the others that you are a racing MANIAC! Don't know how you keep up that racing schedule, but you do get to some great places! My daughter works for the college (cook). It really is a pretty area, I'm sure your run was scenic. Great job on the race. I must say that must be a new record for the smallest race ever - 15 people for the 5K!
