Lara, that sounds like such a fun place to run, tough as it was. You really are quite the dynamo for having run so many races in such a short time!!

Great story. I love this line in particular:
" I had told Jennifer to run the course for herself and not worry about hanging back with me. She was very kindly and saying ?no, I?m slow too.? They all say that until they run with me and get a new perspective."
HA!! that is so me!!!

I PROMISE if we ever run together, you'll have a new perspective on what slow is!

You're a great writer!

I'm envious of the RBF meetups, and can't wait till December to meet up in Vegas. It sounds like such a good day. Nice new look for the blog!

Lara, Sounds like a great time, and I'm sorry I had to miss it! We have some great cross-country trails near me that are NOT covered with horse sh!t (in fact, horses are not allowed on them, much to my chagrin when I am riding!), so if you ever feel like trying the trails again, let me know. And as for your last post - yes, we need to keep in mind that the 1/2M we're training for is also in the Adirondack MOUNTAINS! Better the half than the full, though, in that respect. And I agree with the others that you are a racing MANIAC! Don't know how you keep up that racing schedule, but you do get to some great places!

Caz - I know the town pretty well, my daughter and youngest son live there. My daughter works for the college (cook). It really is a pretty area, I'm sure your run was scenic. Great job on the race. I must say that must be a new record for the smallest race ever - 15 people for the 5K! That really doesn't leave any place to hide, though I suppose there wasn't a whole lot of spectators either;)

It sounds like a fun meet-up, Lara. And I did like the pic on Jennifer's blog, didn't look like you were tired at all.

By the way, is this like the third race this in a month? You are a mad racing woman! Although, the races all seem to be in just beautiful locations, so I would probably go to them too if I was there. Plus you get to have multi-RBF meetups besides. Very cool!

Good job on the race through the manure and the one over the Adirondacks too!
