Ahhh- the trails! I'm so hooked. Happy to hear about your job news, and that you can continue your training while you work on your pains. My friend who is a PT says that so many of the injuries/pains she sees can be helped/cured by stretching.
Looking forward to getting up to your neck of the woods soon! I'm counting down the days.

Glad the PT is willing to work with running. I hope it helps. Mine helped me alot with my back pain. It took a while for everything to heal but I think in the end it has worked out well.

Good luck in the race this weekend!

Lara, GREAT news about the PT and the potential job! I hope everything works out for the best on both of them. I think I'm too paranoid still to do the race this weekend - my calf is doing a LOT better after staying off the hills for awhile, but that course is somewhat hilly (though flatter than many areas around here) and I'm just too nervous about jeopardizing my HM training. Hopefully I'll be able to come out and watch it, though! Oh, and if you see two really fast people pushing a babyjogger with twins in the race, that's my fast neighbor and her husband! GOOD LUCK!

I'm happy, happy for you and your hip! Glad he was able to pinpoint the problem so easily. And the advice to "keep running" is good news, too :-) And my fingers are crossed for you regarding the job!

The description of your hip flexor/leg issue is exactly my problem. As I was running yesterday, I reminded myself that I have had a month or more without pain--so the exercises really do work. I have to remind myself to keep up with them; it's easy to get out of the habit now that the pain is gone. The trail sounded wonderful. I'm on the lookout for some around here, too.

Sounds like an awesome run, I love heading off on loney trails filled with natures friends. Hope the PT gets you back in prime shape. I also wish you lots of luck on the new job possibility, sounds like a good challenging and a rewarding position.
