Begin at the beginning…

Finish each day and be done with it. You have done what you could; some blunders and absurdities have crept in; forget them as soon as you can. Tomorrow is a new day; you shall begin it serenely and with too high a spirit to be encumbered with your old nonsense.

Hey Chick! Nice new digs! I love what you’ve done with the place!

I’m a pronator myself so I can’t offer much advice about the sneakers, except to find a different “expert,” read the running mag reviews on sneakers and check out websites iike road runner for how to select the perfect shoe. Maybe a trip to the podiatrist would be helpful?

Glad to hear you’re on the mend and returning to the joy of MOVEMENT!

Congratulations on the new home for your site! I see you’re now a WordPress user too… it’s a great system. I’ve grown rather fond of it myself.

A new home, a new attitude, and great quote. Keep us posted Lara. Good idea to think about the shoes–I had some issues with my cool looking but not good for me shoes. Take your time to decide!

Lara, wonderful quote and lovely new digs. As to shoe problems. well that is not something you want to have, good for you for paying attention. I can’t believe how many folks don’t really get that. ~tilts head~ Unfortunately I’m a serious pronator so I can’t give much advice to help a supinator like you EXCEPT that on the http://www.runnersworld.com site there is a shoe selection application and honestly their suggestions and help have been wonderful for me over the years.

We have a place here in Canada called The Running Room and they’ve expanded into the US in Minnestoa only so far but these folks are actually given some basic physiotherapist-directed training so that they understand basic foot mechanics and can help choose a the right running shoe.

So all that to say: it’s so worth it to find a worthy ‘expert,’ do your own research and listen to your instincts. Oh and a serious running shoe sales place will let you run around the store! :) I always do a few ‘moves’ in my poential new sneaks…very entertaining I think. ~giggles~ Good luck.
