looks like i get to call myself a runner again

I got the “you can try it out” from my therapist on Monday so, today, I tried it out.

No shoulder pain. No …other bad stuff. Just 30 minutes of good, non-stop running. Not so much as a tweak or an ache. It all felt good.

I’m going to give credit to years of running – especially the high-mileage year leading up to my layoff for today being so easy. It would seem that, I was born to run. :)

Hey I have a quick question for anyone who can answer on this blog… I have just started running in the last few months. I have great joints and no pains from running but I am looking to lose a little wieght. I have been dieting a little bit but my body doesn’t seem to be shaping up. I then came across a blog at http://www.illuminategym.com which stated that the combination of diet, cardio training and resistance training is the best way to shape your body. Is this true??? Should I add weight training to my workout regimen to change my shape??

This is an inspiration. I’m only 25, but I’m having surgery this Friday (non-running related) and I’m scared about getting back on the road after (I should have clearance after about a week) and what is ahead of me in life. Your blog is open and honest about sometimes just taking things as they come and believing in yourself as a runner. Thank you!
