Interestingly, there was a brief article in the October 2007 edition of Running Times about Heart Rate creep (Titled &quot;Creepy Stories&quot;, pg. 20) that may apply to your run.  Basically, it talks about elevated HR and running in warmer weather.  Very interesting.
