A Passion for Running

Welcome to the home of Mark aka The Running Blogfather – a 40 year-old dad, husband and marathon runner who's beaten injury and is on the comeback trail!

OH.MY.GOD.

passion for running category: running on Saturday, August 4 2007

I had a breakthrough of epic proportions today!

Time: 1:29:30
Distance: 11.89 miles
Pace: 7:31 min/mile
Average HR: 164 (targeting 170)
Weather: Nice and cool with gusts in sections

Woohoo!!!

And, if that’s not enough, I calculated the non-warm-up part (10.14 miles) to have been run at 7:20 minutes per mile! This is a HUGE improvement – there was a time I would have had a hard time running TWO miles at these paces!!!
——
Edit: I’ve added a 10 mile personal best to my stats page.
