How about “hellish” or “Mark’s nemesis” or “not gonna happen”.

I know when I’m beaten. Running in the morning is absolute misery for me. I tried but every morning run just felt worse than the last.

I am seriously not kidding when I say I’d rather run in 90 degree mid-day heat than run in the morning. Not kidding at all.

So, I switched back to afternoons a few days ago. And I’m already feeling worlds better.

Nothing ventured, nothing gained.

Lucky for you, “Edmonton hot” is not so bad as say, “Texas hot” or places like that. You’ll do well with afternoon heat training – I get the feeling that you’re much better at listening to your body than you used to be.

I’m with you on the avoidance of morning running. I can do the odd morning weekend long run when necessary, but the before-work weekday stuff is not for me.

Good try Mark! My favorite time to run is before the sun comes up . . . sometimes here in Dallas we don’t have much of a choice.

I’m with you on that! I hate running in the mornings, it never works out well for me.

I normally love morning runs, but I need to be awake for a while before I head out otherwise it is hellish.
