A Passion for Running

Welcome to the home of Mark aka The Running Blogfather – a 40 year-old dad, husband and marathon runner who's beaten injury and is on the comeback trail!

I bit on a chicken bone and cracked a molar. Upon arrival and x-ray today, the dentist informed me the tooth broke because a little hole in the back (that I had not noticed) had infected and weakened it. Yay.

So, part one of a three-part series to fix and crown the tooth (aka root canal + new crown) has begun. I sit here dizzy and with head frozen.

One run sacrificed to the dental gods. The good news? Parts two and three of the procedure are scheduled so they should not interfere with more running.

I hate the dentist, that’s like my worst nightmare. I think pretty soon, I’ll have more crowns than real teeth.
