Wow. Where did that one go?

Running is going very well. Yesterday’s run was of particular note. It was my hard run day and what I’ve been doing with those runs is to work on reducing the warm up and cool down sections (15 minutes each) thereby increasing the “hard” part of the runs.

Yesterday I got the warm up down to about 8 minutes and pretty much eliminated the cool down. Results:

Average Heart Rate: 164
Mileage: 6.94
Time: 59:54
Pace: 8:38

The whole run felt hard but not too hard. Overall, I’m seeing my ability to run at higher paces becoming more comfortable. Interestingly, I am also seeing an ability to run my slow runs at lower heart rates.

It looks like the base mileage I have been building is beginning to pay dividends.
