I battled with fatigue and a headache right up till an hour before today’s 90 minute run. Yesterday’s two hour and eleven minutes seemed to have done a number on me.

But, in the last hour before I began my run home, I started feeling better. There is a trend here that I’ve been noticing. The trend is that my body tends to need a full 24 hours before it sorts itself out after a hard or long run. Interesting.

Anyway, I had a terrific jaunt home. Details:

Pace: 9:44 minutes per mile (a minute per mile faster than yesterday)
Average Heart Rate: Astoundingly, it was identical to yesterday’s – 151 bpm.
Distance: 9.12 miles
Time: 1:28:45

After getting past the first 15 minutes, I was in a groove today.

And I feel awesome now. No nigglies. No fatigue. Just a good ‘ol feeling of accomplishment.
