hmmmm…
Today’s “hard” effort was indeed just that – a HARD EFFORT.
Sluggish just like my last hard run on Friday. So, I’ve been having peppy easy runs and sluggish hard runs. And make no mistake, it isn’t the pace that is making them sluggish. It’s the fact I am putting one foot in front of the other because they are sluggish from step #1 till about half way into the runs when I’m warmed up.
Pace 8:30 minutes per mile.
Distance: 3.65 miles
Average Heart Rate: 165 (a bit under 170bpm – my Karnoven based 80% target)
I was close to witnessing a terrible accident during the run. After getting about 200 meters past an intersection, I heard a terrifically loud crashing sound. I turned to see a black 1/2 ton truck pretty smashed up but could not see the other vehicle. Upon coming back after the turnaround point, I saw the other car up close. It looked to be a Pontiac Sunfire. It had been hit head on and was completely flattened all the way up to the windshield. There four police cruisers, an ambulance and two fire trucks on scene. Not good.

oooh that’s scary. Though I did read somewhere recently that the worst drivers in Canada are in ALBERTA!
But that could be partly due to the fact that most of the country is FLOCKING there.
Sorry to hear about your sluggish run, you’re still a super star.
