A Passion for Running

observation on today’s run

passion for running category: running on Wednesday, October 4 2006

Still working at keeping a 180 cadence. What I notice is that, as I tire, this becomes harder but not keeping focused on the cadence is not good since I am not as light on my feet at lower cadence’s. Of course, when you run in Puma H-Streets, one doesn’t want to be heavy on one’s feet. I will need to build endurance slowly so I can keep in Pose and avoid pounding my feet into the ground.

Oh! And I ran that same marked mile in 8:05 today not even breathing hardly at all. Sweet.

Nice! Keep up the great running! When I was in elementary school, Puma’s were the BOMB! Only the cool kids had Puma’s…

Thanks everyone. :)

Deene: Thanks. Races? Not really although I admit I have *something* building in me even though I’m not certain what that something is.

I think my plan is to pile on LOTS of miles and see where it takes me. I may even start running to and/or from work — a 10 mile run each way. Of course I’d have to build up to that!

Mostly, I’m just running for the enjoyment of it. The four years I spent training and running those six marathons were very intense. And, with them ending in injury and me setting out to learn Pose, it’s been a while since I just *enjoyed* running for the sake of running. Make sense?
