A Passion for Running

Welcome to the home of Mark aka The Running Blogfather - a 40 year-old dad, husband and marathon runner who’s beaten injury and is on the comeback trail!

video of the skirt opening

passion for running category: running, running skirt challenge on Friday, April 21 2006

Here’s a 3 to 4 minute clip of me and the kids opening my package from runningskirts.com. Sorry for the poor quality. I had no idea there was such bad backlighting or I would have changed locations. The race will be outside under natural light so it should be much better.

I’ve since put the entire outfit on. I’m…gathering myself after that experience.

I’ll have an updated tally posted shortly.

Here’s the clip.

That is OUTSTANDING! You are going to look great in that outfit and your daughter is never going to let you live it down. She is certainly very clear on gender dressing issues, Dad. :-)

Everyone MUST get their running, blogging friends to pony up. There will be no peace until we get the full Pinky Pink Monte. Go Mark!

Yours come in a plastic bag? Mine was box with tissue and had pretty ribbons !! Not fair - I can’t figure out my video feature. I’m looking in the instruction booklet right now.

I was thinking about this clip this morning and I’ve decided that “That’s for girls!” really means “That would look a lot better on me, Daddy!” True Dat the RBF has eyes only for you.

That’s a bit too tiny and a bit too pink isn’t it?

I’m in for a donation. You need a bit of charity Mark.

Funny stuff! I love your daughter’s consistent (and so correct) tone: “Uhhhh… that’s for girls.” :)

Perhaps we should consider getting you a larger size…or was it already a large?

I’ll preface this by saying I’m hoping I’m sterile…but those kids sure are cute.
