If they had put him on a horse, then we’d all have to ride horses at marathons today. Imagine 20,000 horses in Boston. They just aren’t setup to be able to shovel that much manure. The streets would be covered and that would pose a health risk. Not to mention the logistics of organizing 20,000 horses, and providing them feed, stables, etc. There’s no way to house that many horses in one city. And THAT’s why they didn’t stick him on a horse. ![]()
