I got out for a rockin’ 35 minute run for my lunch break today. When I returned, there were some ladies gathered outside the door of the fitness club. This one 45ish gal gave me the most unbelievable look-over. That feisty feline frightened me!

Anyhoo, it was a terrific run. The paths were clear of snow and ice (compared to the terrible conditions Aaron and I faced on Monday), the temperature was perfect and I got the boost of energy I thrive on in the middle of my work day.

Not good. I got four miles in, but right at the beginning had a little “heart to heart” with the railway police for crossing the tracks after the train had gone by, but the gates were still down. I got a warning, what a sweety. Then a 400 lb man told to run on the grass, because it would be easier on my knees. Clearly he was an expert.

I was hoping you’d write about cougars of the attractive sort.

I filled in for a walking clinic on Monday and went for a 25-minute walk, mostly just to spell my overworked manager. I was pleased to see some real cougars in the group. It made me want to continue in order to learn how to walk a 5-kilometre event, even though I’ve walked for as long as 70.
