I’m back and motivated. Thanks you everyone for your encouraging comments.

Even the most talented runner can struggle. I’m pulling for you Khalid!
Looks like my post from the other day set a few people off.
Drew and then Duncan proceeded with their own flames – the latter going into quite magnificent detail.
Which got me thinking. Do you suppose some newspapers produce crap like this just to get a reaction out of the blogging community, thereby increasing their visibility on the web?
Far be it from me to have any understanding of the media. I’m just still shaking my head at the ineptness of the article and wondering if, perhaps, it was on purpose?
It’s a little cheezy and polyanna-ish but, then again, I think the whole point of humanbeingcurious.com is positivity so check out this video for some very nice inspiration.
Come to think of it, I tend to be a bit on the dramatic side too so who am I to judge. Just go watch the video!
Three runs in a row and I’m a happy camper. Random thoughts whilst running:
-felt comfortable to run up the Peace Mile in 8:45
-felt not too bad to run down the Peace Mile in 7:45
-the body felt great
-calves were a little sore at the beginning of today’s run
-wish I had hair – it’s cold
-at least I can wear a hat
-I still don’t feel like racing
-but I can’t wait for the trails to dry up a bit
-wish it was warmer and dryer so I could start a bit of barefoot running again
-where did that 50 foot long puddle come from?
-argh!
-pass that girl up the stairs
-good job
I’m so happy to be back at this.
I think we can all be inspired by this article but it may hold particular interest for some of the elites among us. Take note, Alison, Chelle and Adeel.
This article blew my mind – and not just because of the barefoot running angle. Pay attention to some of the numbers in the article. woa – I am so lame with my six marathons!
Say it with me world: A marathon is a long-distance running event of 42.195 km (26.2 miles; 26 miles 385 yards; or 46145 yards).
Thirteen miles is a long way, but it’s not a marathon – it’s a half marathon. If you are in the media and can’t get it right, how will the rest of us?
Two runs in a row. I’m extremely consistent this week.
What a beautiful day it is out there!
