Hell: I’m not running and I’m trying to be patient not running. Add to that the fact that I feel somewhat disconnected to the RBF and, well. Blah. Is anybody out there?

Heaven: I picked up one of these today.

Plantronics Headphone+Microphone dealy

I love this thing. I spend a lot of time in front of the computer (surprised?) and the only way I can do that is by having it near my family in our living room. Of course, those two things (computer + family) make it hard to listen to music – something I used to do a lot of, but not any more since becoming a family man! And you know what? I really miss it. This headset puts music back in my life and it sounds SO good plugged into the iMac. Right now I’m listening to the The Horse Whisperer (big Thomas Newman fan). I’m also really excited about the microphone part – I’m gonna do some more audio posts/podcasts!

Anyway, I hope you’re doing great and I’d love to hear from you. In case you’ve been quietly reading from afar lately, now would be a good time to pop your head in and say “hi”. :)

We’re both not running. But that doesn’t mean we can’t enjoy new toys. Doesn’t music just change the way you feel so quickly.

Hey Mark – same here – haven’t really been running – or reading/writing on the blog world that much either. It feels good to be “back” and in touch. Love the Mic, the iMac, and the music reference! All good stuff. Also – nice job passing on props to Joan and her site – it is a great read for anyone who hasn’t been there before.

I can appreciate being hurt and having an extended recovery. I am a former wrestler who struggled with a shoulder injury many years ago. During the struggle I forgot I was a person with other needs and interests. You will recover and be on the road again. The idea is to live long and healthy, and run if possible. Hang in there, your site is great. What kind of phones and mic did you buy? I am a mac user also.

Hi Mark,

Well, you may not be running but you are still inspiring people. I’ve begun barefoot running (okay, actually walking) and it’s all because of you. For the past year I’ve had extensive foot problems and I’ve decided to try the barefoot route to see if it would help. It appears to be helping. I walk the dogs barefoot in the morning and run a little on the treadmill. My feet are feeling stronger and some of the aches and pains are easing up. So thanks!!!

Er, um, well, HI there! My first run back was 2.5 miles on Sunday and then last night we did 3 on the run not too achey today so tomorrow will do some more. My esteemed Brother who I have talked about and Nephew #2 are running in the Philly marathon this Sunday so see it is all relative! Rest Well!

Great tunes … but I don’t have that cool headset! I can relate to what you’re saying about kids/computer … but I’d be afraid of what the kids would be doing while Mommy was enjoying her tunes! :)
