Welcome to the home of Mark aka The Running Blogfather – a 40 year-old dad, husband and marathon runner who's beaten injury and is on the comeback trail!

barehand running

So, two things are going on in my life that led me to shake things up and get a HANDle on things. First, I’m injured and can’t run and second, I’m starting to feel that being a pose method + barefoot running duuuuude, is no longer unconventional enough so…

Today, I went for a 30-minute bareHAND run. Yup. I ran on my hands. And it rocked. And I rocked. And it was the BEST workout ever. Way better, harder, and more enjoyable than running on one’s feet.

If you haven’t tried it, you suck – plain and simple.

I’m gonna start a new online community. The bareHAND running community. Only we shouldn’t call it running. Hmmm…it will be called the BareHAND Upsidedown Troupe of Trendsetters (BUTT).

Wanna join? ;)

P.S. I know this was lame. So am I!

You tripped and had to use your hands to stop yourself from smashing your face, right?

First, yes that was incredibly lame.
Second, for your punishment you should get 30 minutes of ART treatment for your injury.

You’re leading a BUTT community. Hmmm … should I notify our university alumni magazine?? :)

As long as it’s not a bare BUTT community, I’m in!
