Seeing as I’m on vacation, this question seems rather appropriate!

very high, i’d say 100%, since most of our vacations revolve around races! actually, alison’s dedication to running while traveling (and her review of good airports to run in) has changed my view of how to squeeze runs into otherwise tight schedules.

About 50/50. If I had a big race coming up that I was in training for, I’d be much more likely to find a way to get the runs in than if I was in between events/training cycles.

Based on my experience of the only real vacation I’ve had since I started running, I’ll say excellent. However, a motivator like an upcoming race, or a buddy to run with on vacation makes all the difference.

When I’m on vacation I have time to run! I’m going to try running in the airport the next time I have a lay over – sounds like fun. I’ve power walked in the airport several times, which makes getting back on the cramped plane easier.

I said 50/50 based on how I’ve done lately, but truth of the matter is that I think it’s going up. If you’re on vacation with or visiting people, they may make demands that require you to be flexible, but even that shouldn’t stop you.

Yeah, are you running or are you just looking for external validation?

I’ve never been on vacation really, unless you count the five months or so I get off from school every year, though I don’t actually go anywhere.

Either way, the answer is a resounding yes.

I get the long runs in, but its those little recovery runs that are hard to make up.

Oops I missed a poll. On vacation I do run. If staying at a hotel, I get hubby to drop me off the required kms away and run back while he drives back. Last time I did that I got a real funny look from the desk clerk as if to say “did hubby dump you on the road after a fight???”
