Still trying to remember when I felt good for a run. Maybe that should be worded “when do you feel good enough to run?”. That would be sometimes between mile 2 and mile 2.5. Argh.

when it’s a long run, i typically don’t get a feel for how the run is going to go, or feel warmed up until somewhere around mile four.

shorter runs, it usually takes a mile or two before i can start to increase the intensity.

It usually takes me at least 1 mile and sometimes 2 to get good and settled in…meaning my breathing is where it needs to be, my pace is totally set, and I just feel right.

You read my mind. Now, that is a little scary. At the exact moment I was thinking ?How did he know I checked the poll today?? I was in the middle of reading your next sentence.
:) Have a good run today!

I’m only logging short runs lately (3-4 miles), while I wait for some minor aches and pains to clear up. Unfortunately, it usually takes me 20-30 minutes to start getting comfortable, and sometimes as much as an hour. So I’m basically not getting a lot of quality running experience lately.
