Ummm…I almost puked today…

I had an active release therapy appointment after work so I ran at lunch. I did the same 10k route I did last week with Corinne and Nick. The run went really well and the best part was I think I discovered a tweak in my pose form about mid-way through the run. The change I made was to land just a bit further back on the ball of my foot. It relieved pressure off my calves and made my running feel easier. Amazing really. We’re probably talking about a 1/4 of an inch making a huge difference.

In the last three minutes we pushed really hard and, in the last 20 feet it caught up to me. I had a pretty wicked little set of dry-heaves. Not good and this time I had an audience! Good grief.

At any rate, it was a great run. This is the kind of stuff I need to get in shape.

Oh! Did I mention it was raining again? Rock on!

You know, I’ve never puked while running or after the fact. Maybe I’m not pushing hard enough?

I’ve never actually puked but I have had awful dry heaves when I hit about 95% mhr for more than a couple minutes. Fun.

Same thing. It’s like hitting the clutch when you’re out of gas. Full points Mark, full points.

You know, if you move that back just a liiiittle but farther to the midfoot, you’ll have the perfect ChiRunning form. Just sayin’. :)
