That’s a tough one. While I usually prefer the mild heat, I can find enjoyment in most kinds of other weather conditions, too. I was surprised when I started running, how much I could find to like about weather I hate standing around in.

yeah, i’m with karen. on a hot day, a run can feel good, whereas standing in the hot sun is uncomfortable. i’d say, in response to the weather poll, that running on clear ground as it’s just starting to snow is amazing, but the best weather for a good run is when it’s cool and overcast with a light breeze. i, though, cannot pass up a chance to run in the rain and get soaked and muddy.

I like the fall. Cool, crisp with a nice damp smell in the air!

i like early morning as the sun is rising or at dusk w/sun setting. 60′s or 70′s, no humidity and no breeze.

My favorite running weather is actually a cool frosty morning, a couple degress above freezing, but after a frost where the grass turned white – when the leaves are falling and the sun is just peeking out. No snow, no wind, quiet, only the sound of my feet hitting the ground…

I like the cool fall temps best (in the 50s). I just saw my long-sleeve running shirts in my dresser drawer yesterday and got excited. “Soon,” I told them.

Funny the disparity; I thought everyone agreed with my opinion: overcast with temps in the 50′s F (which is my weather here in Seattle ~ 75 % of the time). ;) I do love those crisp fall days, too, though.

Cold weather, absolutely. Preferably a light drizzle or a light breeze. I’m a sweater. Not as in the clothing. Anything above 70 degrees and I’m *hating* it.

Crisp and cool 52 degrees for me, thanks! Running in long sleeves rocks.
