hospice nurses are smart

passion for running category: barefoot running, running on Friday, August 5 2005

I was gonna start by saying something like “hospice nurses are not only cute, they are smart too” but my wife pointed out I’ve been a bit flirty with the girl bloggers lately so…sorry Lara. Anyway, to the point of this post, Lara read that I’d been getting some blisters from barefoot running and came up with a smokin’ idea. She mentioned that hospice nurses use this to toughen the skin of people who are prone to bed sores and suggested I try it on the soles of my feet.

Granted, your feet will toughen on their own, but I’m pretty sure the Barbasol has helped. I don’t have a good enough memory to put it on every day but I do try to apply it twice a day on days I run barefoot and it sure seems to have helped. Who’da thunk it?

Well, Lara would have of course! Thanks Lara!

I think my wife Lori is a real hottie. In fact, I love her way more than Nutella. This moment brought to you by the Save Your Marriage While You Can Society. ;)

Your marriage is cooked. That’s okay, you’ve got your blog.

We can make Kraft Dinner together in a kitchen sink once you become a drifter and room with me in Toronto’s Kensington Market.

Glad it’s working for you Mark!

And don’t worry about the compliment – I usually don’t get called “cute” by my patients until I’ve administered at least a couple of doses of morphine ;)

I think you are probably safe until you start saying Aaron is cute. :D

Barbasol? So do ya put it on your feet and shave or what? I’ve got a can of it upstairs for kids projects (you should try it for keeping kids occupied outside for atleast an hour!),

Heh! This post is “cute.” And wow, never would have imagined Barbasol – do you get the clean tingly feeling on your feet, too? Or wait, maybe that’s just the menthol variety. Do you use the menthol variety, and if so, do you get the clean tingly feeling??? ;)
