the object of ridicule?
This made me laugh and laugh! All I can say is you have to know me and my history Laura.
Edit: I’ve now spent some time over at Starling Fitness. Very good stuff! Check them out.

Yahoo! Man, that was one fine feelin’ run – 100 meter strides and all! Even managed to scare the crap out of a young girly-girl walker who didn’t hear my barefeet coming up behind her.
Tonight’s run was sweetness let me tell ya.
I’ve been neglecting my blog this past few days. Just having too much fun with my family on vacation I guess.
Today’s poll brought to you by the letter B – as in Beverly.

45 minutes around six p.m. yesterday and one hour at 8:00 a.m. this morning. I believe that’s the shortest rest period I’ve had between runs in some some. I was a bit achey at first but settled in nicely after 10 minutes or so.
Bonus: Got to run with Aaron who’s now all tucked into his new home which just happens to be located by some ROCKIN’ running routes. Yippee Kiyay!
As poopified as the beginning of yesterday’s run was, today’s more than made up for it. I left my shoes at home and ran barefoot for the full 45 minutes today and it felt great.
I admit too that it’s lots of fun getting the reactions I get whenever I’m out sans-shoes. You get smiles, big-teeth grins, looks of shock and bewilderment and the the classic, “look at the f&*kin moron” reaction. It’s all good though cuz I’m havin’ a ball!
Form was bang-on tonight. I was a relaxed pose method, barefooting crazy maniac!
The poll is in the menu at right…
This is not intended to be negative but let’s pretend you sustained a permanent injury or something along those lines that made tomorrow the very last day you could run. What kind of run would it be? Where would it be?
Care to share any other details?
I think mine would be on a mountain path.
(let me know if you’ve got an answer I should add to the choices)
I ran on Saturday (something I haven’t done since pre-injury) while camping. Missed Sunday (as usual). Didn’t plan well for visitors on Monday but got out for a good 45 minutes today.
It was a truly awful run for the first 10 minutes though. Everything ached and I even got a stitch, but I toughed it out and ended up having a great run for the last 35 minutes – 20 of which was barefoot.
To answer my own question and respond to Russ and Adeel’s comments, I am generally pretty good at keeping up the running schedule during vacation. However, I usually do miss one or two due to poor planning/being lazy.
Seeing as I’m on vacation, this question seems rather appropriate!

Lori and I are on vacation. We were out of town camping for the weekend. We returned to meet a cousin I’ve never met who’s from New York state.
I managed a 45 minute run (20 minutes barefoot) on Saturday at noon. Note to self: People who eat greasey campfire breakfasts and then drink a beer before running are stupid!
