2 terrific workouts & free advice for the fellas

Yesterday, Aaron and I put in a solid 35 minutes of practice – in shoes this time. We ran up and down our favorite hill a few times as part of the session. I really am starting to love hills. :D

Today, at lunch I decided to do another practice. Well, it started out as a practice but it was so beautiful out there and everything felt so good that I just started running pose style down the path in my bare feet.

I did about three miles like that and finished up with a few drills. It was great. The last half of my run felt so good. My feel felt springy and I can assure you that sensation has happened to me maybe twice in my life prior to today so I’m “pleased as punch” (whatever that saying means). At risk of feeling the wrath of those of you who read my and Jon’s last post, my running is starting to feel natural again which leads me to think maybe a race or two will be in order for the fall. We’ll see.

Here’s a lesson I’ve learned that I’d like to pass on to all the fellas out there (I sacrifice and sacrifice for you guys!):

Would you like pretty girls to take notice and spontaneously strike up conversation with you while running?

Go barefoot.

Would you like pretty girls to take notice of you, spontaneously strike conversation and not think you are some kind of nutjob whacko?

Then leave your shoes on and bring a baby stroller or puppy with you.

Good stuff huh? ;)

Hubby always wanted a big dog until he found out just how much attention he got when walking our little LeBut. Funny I also get attention from cute guys when I walk him. So that works both ways, Mark.

Better way to get that attention. Go barefoot. Drive a Porsche. Baby seat in the back. Nothing drives women crazier than a set up that screams “Rich and wild but, sorry Babe, I’m married.”

Cracks me up, it does.

I’ve got the dog and the kids, but my problem with women (aside from the being married thing) is the whole opening my mouth thing.

You guys kill me! If my husband starts going out barefoot to take the 2-year old out for walks in the stroller … I’m on to him. :)

Mark is always willing to ‘take one for the team’ isn’t he?

Glad to hear the workouts are going well! Exciting stuff!

*warren would like to fill this space with an insightful, meaningful response, but he’s too busy falling out of his chair laughing*

Wow, I come to see what Warren is laughing at and see you have been busy redecorating. I’d do some but I’m still waiting to be upgraded. By the way looks nice.
