walk the talk Mark
Funny how things can come full-circle and bite you on the ass.
In my last post, I whined about where I am with my running and that I was having trouble relating with a lot runners when I compared how far/fast I am currently able to run.
Well, Susan and Beverly took me to task for not following my own advice of just concentrating on my own progress and not comparing myself to others.
I have given that piece of advice to so many runners and you know what? It’s darned good advice! So, why in the heck did I forget about that bit of wisdom as it applies to myself?
Answer: I guess it is partly insecurity and partly the frustration of knowing I have in some ways regressed.
HOWEVER, you have reminded me of the most important thing. That I need to focus on the task at hand – to redefine my running form and that once that’s happened, all the other good stuff like speed and distance will come.
Thank you Obi-Wan and Yoda.
