Surprise, surprise huh?

I was just thinking about some of the things I’ve been writing alot about lately, the type of person I am and how I may be coming across to people. I’ve also been thinking about something someone once said to me about how when I grab onto something, I get excited, put the blinders on and proceed with converting the entire world to my way of thinking (I got this trait from my dad by the way). Then I read something at Cosmogrrl’s place where she mentioned wanting to find out what books I read besides the POSE method. That was when I knew I should say something.

I hope I’m not turning you off. It’s just that I am a very passionate person. Passionate when I love something and passionate when I hate something. If you have a business, I am the kind of person you want loving your product cuz I’ll tell everyone. Conversely, you do not want me hating your product since I will passionately spread the word about that too.

I’m not apologizing for the way I am, but I do feel it necessary to explain myself so your potential compulsion to turn away may be somewhat lessened. :)

The bottom line is that I write passionately about things I believe in and am passionate about so if you see me raving about something like the POSE method, barefoot running or whatever, that’s why!

There. I feel better.

I mentioned my dad so I think it’s appropriate he be featured a bit more in this posting. Thanks for passing on the Italian Passion/Iocchelli gene dad.

I would think that passion is what fuels one for a marathon.

And I think Al has to play your Dad in the movie … WOW! :)

Passion is a good thing. No, it’s a great thing! I have passion too but I too like to temper it with careful evaluation. I think as long as I’m reflective about what I’m passionate about then it works out to my advantage.

Passion is the spice of life. I don’t think you needed to explain yourself to feel better but if RBF is also passion then go for it. good genes btw.

Why do we apologize for things in life? well if we don’t then we can’t truly expect to be forgiven right? hmmm, I’m wondering Mark if you are in need of forgiveness? Okay, you are fogiven for building a converstaion about running that is has been a fundamental representation of the necessary self-awareness about our chosen sport that is needed for us to improve one way or another. I’m not just talking about the whole Pose thing (which I personally have been changed by) but the entire dialogue you present here with your blog and the RBF. Your passion is engaging and creates a spark that leads others to look inward, try new things, investigate something different. I am often seen as very widely and well read, and guess what? I’ve spent much of my life being so terrified of success that I had even put efforts into self-sabotage more than once in my past. Having the courage to dig in, deeply and single-mindly for awhile, to achieve success in some area or another is a beautiful gift, obviously from that handsome man in the pic ;) , and I’m uplifted to see you honouring it my friend.
