A Passion for Running

Welcome to the home of Mark aka The Running Blogfather – a 40 year-old dad, husband and marathon runner who's beaten injury and is on the comeback trail!

today is a GREAT day!

passion for running category: running on Tuesday, January 18 2005

I was supposed to start back running LAST Tuesday but I was also supposed to do that run with Aaron who’d hurt something in his knee while working out in the gym. He wanted to be safe and didn’t run – a very wise decision given his past experience and long road to running health.

At that moment, I decided to just wait with him for another week. Yes, I could have run on my own but you know what? I just thought, “we’ve waited this long, what’s another week?”

So, after MONTHS of not running together, Aaron and I get to START running again – together. How poetic is that?

It’s gonna be a sweet sweet comeback! :)

Hey, that is nice of you to wait. I’m surprised Aaron didn’t say something like “What?! Get your butt out there and run you lazy bum!” Seems like he doesn’t let you slow down. :)

How about somebody to take a thumbs-up picture of the two of you at the end of this run?? You’ve both waited a long time for it, it’s worth preserving!

Awesome. Enjoy the running! With that kind of restraint surely y’all are well on the way to staying healthy and on your feet for good. ;-)
