The new computer has some really great features. One of them is it has terrific video conferencing capability.

Any bloggers out there with a Mac, iChat and a web camera? If so, we can “meet” each other pretty easily! If you have a PC, we have to work a bit harder but I understand there are a few programs that will enable us to communicate. I have checked a couple of them out but am open to suggestions if you have experience with this kind of thing.

I thought meeting some of you sort of face-to-face would be a nice way to kick off the new year! Of course, we could always just chat using our keyboards if that works for ya! :)

My AIM handle is “runblogfather”. Any takers?

P.S. Did you know you can use a digital video camera (e.g. mini-DV) camera as a web camera? How cool is that?!

My AIM is munch2kin7. I’d love to chat with any of the rbf anytime. Unfortunately, until Friday I have no internet access at home but it would be fun to actually chat with you anyway. And I’m a PC user with no web cam or anything so chatting might work best with us Mark.

I’ve got the webcam, but a PC and dial up. Yes, dial up sucks very very badly. We also have a soup can with a string on the end that we use as our telephone. We suck. Not sure 28800 is going to work very well for video.

groovy! i haven’t launched my chat client in ages (trillian – manages all your yahoo, msn, aim, icq, etc accounts). i’ll have to fire it up and say hello!

Never tried AIM. But have done voice and webcam chats with Yahoo. My user name is hearts_r4me or _hearts4. Yahoo lets you do group chats – we even did Kareokee a few times, that was pretty funny.

I’m on IM all day long…dhyland326. And I have ichat at work but no camera. Still, always happy to chat with the RBF (who cares if I’m at work?)
