reunited with my 5 sisters
Okay, this is gonna sound really stupid after this morning’s post but I had a longish run today at lunch. Sister Corinne called me up and asked if I’d be up for our old four-sisters route. I hummed and hawed and finally said, “I’ll give it a go”.
It was pretty hard going. Especially in the first 15 minutes (and first hill). My achilles were really tight and I was constantly aware of the potential for damaging my ankle.
Interlude: Sheesh! Am I ever sounding like a whiner!
Back to our regularly scheduled program: After those first few minutes, things loosened up quite a bit. We weren’t setting any speed records and my breathing and heart rate were showing me some pretty poor fitness indicators but I managed to gut it out fairly strongly.
The ankle feels alright but final judgment on that is left for tomorrow.
It was great visiting all five sisters even if four of them kicked my ass…Ok Ok, actually all five of them kicked my ass.
Oh well. Such is life!
