I realized I’m a bit late but Happy Thanksgiving to all you American bloggers!

How long is Thanksgiving? It’s like a month or two right? ;)

How ever long it is, have a great time being grateful (a wonderful sentiment).

Yes, Thanksgiving actually is a holiday invented by Abraham Lincoln. It marks the midpoint of the Christmas shopping season, which officially starts the day after Halloween. Thanksgiving day is celebrated with a giant feast, to prepare one’s body and soul for the final half of the season. Today (the day after Thanksgiving) with our reserves of energy at their maximum, it is traditional to go to as many stores as possible and become so irritable with the crowds that you end up hating Christmas more than the Grinch does.

Ha, yes, that’s right Mark (and Jon). A great excuse to eat way more than we should, too. I’m off for my second feast today…

Exactly what Jon said. Day after thanksgiving you go stand in line at 5:30 am for the stores to open. Then once inside with your heart racing you run around tossing anything and everything into your shopping cart knocking senior citizens and kids out of your way only to stand in another line at checkout while the clerk makes icky faces at you. Then you go home and finish off the leftover turkey.
