A Passion for Running

Welcome to the home of Mark aka The Running Blogfather – a 40 year-old dad, husband and marathon runner who’s beaten injury and is on the comeback trail!

I have not had particularly intelligent or productive days this past week.

First of all the SPAM issue was driving me NUTS and taking up too much time and thought.

Then yesterday, Lori’s van broke down with electrical problems so I had to run home and get the little red dayhome bus on the road again. Then I ran back to work and said something stupid to Richard (me and my big mouth). No, I’m not going to tell you exactly what happened but I will say that in the end I had to pull my size 11 foot out of my mouth. Luckily, I have a big mouth so I didn’t require a shoehorn. Anyway, after some information from Richard (who has graciously forgiven me) all is fixed.

Thanks Richard.

I’ve been slowly adding people to the RBF map. Hang in there folks. Life seems to be getting in the way of my grand RBF mapping plans! That goes doubly for a couple of people who’ve asked for a complete running blog. I apologize for keeping you waiting.

I am so far behind in my blogging and blog visiting. I’m also not running very much lately. All this is making the Running Blogfather very cranky.

grrr…

The good news? I’ll be running at lunch today. I’m sure the world will be a much better place by then!

Enjoy your run, Mark. Don’t sweat the small stuff (and it’s ALL small stuff, eh?).

Relax, bud! The map can wait and people will patiently wait for a CR page because they know its worth the wait. Get your run in to settle the mind and body. Then you’ll be ready again for all this other stuff.

Peace!

I find a good run to be very cathartic – like working all the bad juu-juu from my mind and soul…coming back feeling refreshed and renewed. Especially if it’s raining. Hope you get to shake out all the bad juu-juu!

I hope your run went well and I second Dianna’s comment.

Deep breath, Mark. Everything CAN wait, cuz if you don’t take care of yourself, nothing else works well either. You mean too much to us, so watch yourself first.

Take care of you and your running first – you know we can all get behind that. Who here is gonna say “Mark, I think you should get my name up on the map rather than go for a run.” :) Besides, it’s not in anyone’s best interest to have a cranky Blogfather **smooch on the forehead for you*

Not really a fight. Just me saying stupid things followed by Richard saying smart things followed by me saying “me dumb, you smart Richard”.
