Yeah baby yeah! I had a terrific slow 45 minute run at lunch today. That’s 25 minutes further than the doc instructed me to do a week ago but I took Friday to Monday off and the ankle was feeling really good so I just kept going when it felt right to do so today.

It felt a little awkward but there was definitely no pain. It doesn’t hurt at all now and hasn’t swelled either. All good signs.

Yay!

Those are good signs! Make sure that your form stays good with the slower pace – not that you need me to remind you of that, I’m sure, but better safe than sorry. I know that my form goes to —- when I run too slowly.

Yeah. Thanks Richard and definitely worth mentioning. I was careful mostly because I was SCARED!

Wahoo! Glad to hear you are back in the game. I didn’t do any dog leaping in my marathon but I had serious knee pain in the ITB area afterwards. I’ve had to lay off on the mileage and I’ve been rowing to supplement. I recently ran 5.8 miles, the longest stretch since the big race. Very happy to be back on the road.

I was reading through the archives of your blog. It’s so cool that you saw Hollie. I read her blog as I was training for my marathon. She is inspiring (and funny and thoughtful and intelligent).

Great blog. I’ll try to stop by whenever I have some time.
