Dogs are great but they can present running hazards! A couple weeks ago one of the guys in my training group had a scare on a morning run before the sun came up. He ran between a woman and her dog on the trail (they were pretty far apart I guess) and did not see the leash he ran into. Fortunately everyone was just a little startled, and the leash somehow ended up in his hand! That could have been a lot worse for all involved. Excellent news!
