not healing?

Well this arch thing is starting to worry/bug me a bit. I suppose I should be patient and just give it a bit more time but, if it is getting better, it sure is healing slowly and almost imperceptably.

The most pain I get is when I rotate my ankle so my toes are pointed inward. Ouch.

I’m wondering if it might be time to go see the doctor because I sure don’t want to risk aggravating it by running as planned today.

argh.

Arch soreness? I had a touch of Plantar Faciatus last summer that started in my right arch. It felt like the muscle was swollen. Other runners told me to do flexing foot stretches (like, 20) before even getting out of the bed in the morning, and whenever I thought of it during the day. Gord of Gord’s Running store told me to write the alphabet in the air with my foot, and always wear shoes, even in the house. Icing with a frozen water bottle while sitting at the computer helped a bit. I started running leaning forward more (the Chi running thing), changed shoes. My mileage is a little lower lately, but my foot’s much better. And faster :)

Mark, take it from me. If I had seen a doctor earlier for my knee I would not have postponed the inevitable. I am learning more now that sometimes the longer one avoids getting an injury checked out, the longer one prolongs the injury. A plus is that you will have someone to hang out with and rest with who won’t make you run around in cirlces in the snow in Edson!! While you’re at the doctors ask him if three or four martinis is the best for a sore arch??

Good point.

hmmm…I wonder if curling up fetal position on the floor after having 3 martini’s helps a sore arch? I’ll ask Doc that too!

And be sure to double check how dry they need to be. Should you swirl or just show the vermouth to the glass?

They must be very dry so as to enhance the flavour of the Cuban cigars!

I think that was only two martini’s Mark that put you in the fetal position. But don’t worry, I won’t tell anyone that you aren’t that good of drinker. You know your secrets are always be safe with me. Like we said, whatever happens at the cabin stays at the cabin!!
