On a more technical note: “Gretchen” performed very admirably. At the end of the run she read the distance at 42.5km. That’s 300 meters out on a 42,200 meter run. That means she was a very mere 0.7% off in measuring the distance for the course!
Unbelievable. Safe to say I’d recommend the Polar Running Computer to anyone wanting an accurate and reliable speed+distance+heart rate monitor.
You won’t hear from me till Thursday since Lori and I are travelling back tomorrow. Upon returning, I’m looking forward to repaying visits and responding to emails to all you RBF folk who kindly supported me through this experience!
