that was not good
Corinne and I ran our four-hill route at lunch. Actually, that is not quite correct. We ALMOST ran the route.
I had a real problem out there today. One I’ve never had before. You might remember my post from yesterday saying I had no energy? Well today was worse – WAY worse. After the third hill on the route, we got to the second of two sets of traffic lights we have to cross on this run. We had to wait a moment for the light to change and I got really weak. My left leg even started shaking. I felt absolutely awful and ended up walking the last kilometer – something that’s never happened to me before!
It WAS hot but I’ve never had THIS kinda reaction to the heat. I’m pretty positive I’ve gotta get eating and drinking like I was before I went on vacation because today I felt absolutely ANEMIC.
Yuck.
I ate a BIG lunch LOADED with protein and CARBOHYDRATES and had a big bottle of gatorade. Tonight I went to my uncle Joe & Aunt Teresa’s (how Italian is that huh?) and had TWO huge plates of pasta. After all, I had to make them happy (take THAT Dr. Aitkins)! Then, I went home and took an overdose of multi-vitamins (I haven’t taken them in 10 or so days). The toilet bowl will be glowing some kinda flourescent color in the morning!
Tomorrow better be…better!

Sounds like Mark needs a rest day. Maybe a light recovery day? Either way, sounds like a little recovery is in order. Ofcourse, big plates of pasta are always welcome
