So, here’s what I do…

I go to my blog and look on the right hand side at the “referring web pages” to see who’s been visiting and then I visit those blogs – - to see if they have posted something new…

…or I get email notification when bloggers leave comments so I read the comments and then visit those blogs – - to see if they’ve posted something new…

…or of course sometimes I just go check other blogs (from the RBF directory or Bloglines or an RSS reader) – - to see if they’ve posted something new.

It’s occurred to me that other bloggers might be doing the same thing. If I’m checking up on you when you check in with me where does that circle begin and end?

It seems like a kind of blog dance of sorts. Ya, that’s it – it’s a “Blog Dance“! Swing your partner round and round – dosee do.

Who’s leading here – may I have this dance?!?!

OMG Mark but you are so good for my heart. When I laugh I feel my heart expand and it’s great…I seem to always be laughing when I read your words. You have such joie de vie! I dare say you may be the caller for this blog square dance btw. ;)

Dance away, Mark. What fun! I’ve always wondered how that works since I don’t check your page as many times as the referred pages indicates. I guess others are going from mine to yours? No matter. We all circle around and eventually get the news.

Ya, I’m not sure why the numbers are so high. I think it might have something to do with the way my page is set up but I also think each reload/refresh counts as “1″.

I saw your new “referall pages” thingy Reba – and you will see that I was there – so you’ll probably visit me back so I’ll visit you back so…

Too funny. I usually check out the blogs by linking from my page also, so I don’t have to bookmark them. Ofcourse, I’d like to think that the traffic to my site is so high that all those visits from my site naturally come from the hoards of people that spend their day reading my incredibly insightful (see Tic Tac post) and terribly open-minded (see Lance Armstrong rant) writings. This may not not necessarily be the case. ;)

I need to check the box on my comments so that I get messages when someone comments at my site – thanks for the reminder. I usually do round every few hours and am not really being a stalker in case I visit frequently.
It is an endless cycle, huh?
