Okay, you’re going to get tired of me whining about my butt but (imagine Chandler saying this) could my ass BE any sorer?! Holy crapola – I thought it was sore on the way home yesterday but this morning it hurt just to sit on the damn seat!

Add to that the fact that in addition to it still raining, it was WINDY this morning. Man that was TOUGH going.

Someone up there is testing my resolve to make bike commuting a habit – does two days in a row qualify as such? Somebody throw me a frickin bone here!

On the plus side, Cassandra thinks I look “cool” in my bike gear – especially the riding glasses which she says “look like a rainbow”.

Christopher has a similar albeit mostly non-verbal reaction – he just smiles and giggles with huge saucer eyes when he sees me all geared up. He’s seeing his hero and I’m milkin’ it man – just milkin’ it! He even helped me put my helmut on this morning. It’s a great feeling to be a “Cool Daddio”. :)

Sounds like your biking has been adventurous…. to say the least. As far as the sore butt, it does do away after a while, unfortunately, for some, another thing goes away as well; but you can get a special seat for that!! Kepp on trekking!!!!!!!!!

Quit your whining and your snivelling, man, ha, ha! It gest easier Mark, it does. My butt doesn’t hurt no more. I have been bicycling to work for a couple of months now and I love it, even through the rain. I love dodging the traffic and zipping past them when they are stuck and I am not. I think I really could have been a bike courier. And I am starting to notice the overall physical effect on my running. My running is really benefiting from biking. My legs are stronger. It’s great! So keep it up bud, just be patient. I think I wrote to you before and mentioned that I found my legs more tired, and running more difficult especially if I biked that day and then ran in the evening, but I’ve come around and my body has adapted and I love the toning effect on my legs too. And I love the way I feel when I get into work. I’ve already had a workout, cool!!! Cheers! :o )

Why are you riding when you could run? ;)

I do so love it when our children think we are way cool eh?! I milk it to the max too my friend. Watching my daughters do their version of a push up is nothing short of marvellous (and hillarious with their tiny little butts wagging in the air). They yell the whole time, look Maman, I’m just like you, I’m strong like you. ~big grin~ You stick with it Mr Cool, having an athletic Daddy will never be something a kid is ashamed of to be sure!

As to sore butts, well I had numb butt once when I first got the back injury. All I can say is at least you can feel yours. I walked around grabbing my ass for days trying to make sure it was still there! ~giggles~

Y’know, after my two most recent butt complaints (bowling and yesterday’s run), I think the glutes are the least respected muscles in our bodies. I was talking about this with my massage therapist, and she said that butts have so much more responsibility for movement than anyone gives them credit for.

I promise I’ll never laugh again when someone gets shot in the butt during a war movie. : )

Yes, the arse deserves more respect but strangely, I just want to giggle even as I’m saying that.
