I think both ideas are fabulous…I’ve also been thinking about how cool it would be if we could all meet in a forum/chat room type thing! In truth, I’ve also been thinking about how we could all meet somewhere — and all participate in a race together (one that has something for everybody; 5K, 1/2, full) but this will require more thought and planning than I can cover here.
And it would be especially nice to be able to “chat” with those bloggers who don’t have comment sections, so we can give high-fives to people like Swift Man who just ran his first 10 miler!!
