A Passion for Running

Welcome to the home of Mark aka The Running Blogfather – a 40 year-old dad, husband and marathon runner who's beaten injury and is on the comeback trail!

some good reading

Thanks everyone for your words of congratulations yesterday…

Here are three articles very much worth the read (the first two are shameless plugs for our website!).

The first article is written by fellow blogger Lesley who writes a monthly “women’s running” feature for completerunning – she’s GREAT don’t you think?

The second article is about injuries and is written by another monthly columnist – Dr. Lee Miller – an awesome sports doc who treats and advises many runners (elite and non-elite) in and around Edmonton.

The third one is a neat article sent to me by blog reader Paraska on the subject of “Chi of Running”. Very interesting stuff – thanks Paraska!

I did enjoy this quote: “Set small goals that are concrete, attainable, realistic. Set dates for achieving them. Do your first 5K in six months; your first marathon next year.” A marathon. Concrete, attainable, realistic? Absolutely. Small? I’m not so certain about that one!
