Had a good, hard run today. It was tough because I’m suffering through a pinched nerve in my neck I woke up with Saturday morning. I can’t turn my head very far to the right and my left shoulder and arm is numb and hurts at the same time – a condition that was agravated by the swinging of my arms while running.

The route is what I call the “Belamy, Walterdale Hill” route. I also call it other names but I don’t like to swear in public! Anyway, it’s about 10km with two big hills mixed in there. I forgot to set my watch and/or check the time when I started but I think it was a 50 minute run which is not bad for me especially with those hills. I was happy too since I managed to do a one mile section in the last third of the run at a 7:30 pace.

Perhaps most important though – it was an absolutely stunning day out there and I’m grateful to be one of the lucky ones who got to enjoy a ton of fresh air and sunshine during my lunch break!

Excellent work out there Marko. I am jealous that you were able to enjoy the awesome weather on your run at lunch and sad that I wasn’t able to join you. Overall how would you rate the run in terms of level of intensity (easy, moderate, hard, brutal, etc). Take care of the pinched nerve thingie that sounds scary that your arm is numb. I’m not sure if I mentioned that it seems my knee discomfort has been taken care of (knock on wood). Now if I could just get my motivation up again that would be great.

Thanks Sis,

I’d say it was pretty hard but not brutal! The neck thing bothered me more than anything.
