My new shoes, whadayathink?
Here are my new Vibram FiveFinger (Five Finger) shoes. They are pretty cool to run in if you are a minimalist runner. For the last year I have been running in the Puma H-street which, as well, has no cushioning and has a soul about 5 mm thick. Mark was able to get the producer of the shoe to send us a couple of pair, so now we test. Mark just gave them to me today as I was in the middle of cycling on the magnatrainer, so I only had enough time and energy to run a couple of blocks on them tonight. So far I REALLY like them. On Friday we are going to go for about 6 km and see what these bad boys are made of. It was nice to “Pose” in them for the short distance that I did use them. For tonight I am just going to wear them around the house as slippers.

looks like they would “protect” your feet from cuts and bruises so i guess it’s better than barefoot.

Those are completely crazy looking. I look forward to reading your review once you get a few more miles on them.

They are crazy looking, but I’m glad you are enjoying them. How many miles are they ‘good’ for?

They should be good for a couple of years. I have got a year on my H-streets so far and they still have at least another year in them.

You know, now that I see them on someone’s feet, they do look kinda cool. You don’t have to wear a skirt with them do you? I heard some people are doing that.

Lol. …. THEY ROCK! But can you also wear them with socks?

I just ordered my first pair of 5fingers today. I will get them in two days. I ordered mine after reading a story in Mens Health magazine about the Tarahumara tribe being able to run 100’s of miles in sandaled feet. The study proved that it is better to “strengthen” and not “pamper” the feet. I also have “terrible” feet with Bunions after years and years in high heels. They look kind of silly but then again …. who cares
