Jon you should avert your eyes…I know how you feel about the whiney posts. And this one will be slightly on the whiney side

I’ll write this today, because I know I don’t get much traffic on a Saturday anymore. And I just need to vent AND what the hell are blogs for if NOT to vent.

So…I think I made one of the biggest mistakes in my life. We should’nt have moved here. We should’ve stayed where we were. We would probably have sold the house (it needed to go) paid off the truck and rented a place for a while. And things would have somewhat stayed the same.

Now, I feel like I’m really and truly stuck here. It’s totally in my nature to plop a FOR SALE on the front long and hi-tail it at the first decent offer (real estate is picking up around here our house is already worth a lot more than we paid for it) pay off the truck and find somewhere nice to live. (Southern Alberta?)

You see, I moved here to be closer to my family. A family I rarely saw because we lived so far away. However, I think I saw them MORE OFTEN when I lived 6 hours away! Plus right now I’m not speaking to half my family (don’t even get me started on that topic) the one person (a sister..not Feffie) that I am speaking to has an autistic son and basically cannot leave her house. Noah hates going over there cause he is constantly bullied but the autistic kid. So we avoid it. My mother was gone for 2 months this winter..came home saw my children maybe 3 times and now that we aren’t speaking? You’d think she’d still try to see the kids….NOPE. Nothing.

And then there’s this fucking restaurant. I think opening a diner is great, if your kids are 12 & up. My children NEVER see their father. He works 6 days a week (only taking TUESDAY off) he’s gone before they wake up and often doesn’t return home until bedtime. This is not something they are used to. They’re used to Chris working 4 or 5 (tops!) days a week and always always always being home for dinner. ALWAYS.

It sounds so childish and bitter..but…I hate it here. And I can’t leave. Chris’s father followed us up here and I have a sneaking suspicion that he’s sick. Like cancer sick and he just hasn’t told us yet. My spidey senses have been tingling for a while now.

So I am slightly psychotic, I feel manic. I miss my old life. And right now I can’t see the future. I don’t think I can stay here. But I don’t think we can leave.

I’m stuck.

We’ve been having some adjustments as we move to a new host server for Complete Running, and our DNS entry things are all mixed up. So some of you may see this and some won’t and some won’t really care. But Pam can’t access her site, and she forgot that I still have a password.

And now I run her site. BWAHAHAHAHA!

So don’t delete the bookmarks and subscriptions just yet. Pam will be back as soon as the sled dogs can reach her IP in the barren wasteland where she lives, and tell them to update the damn DNS so Pam can connect.

Oh yeah, and Pam says she running. When she comes back, say how proud you are of her for running (even though we all know its total bologna).

And Feffie, if you are reading this, I wish you were coming to Around the Bay with Pam so I could meet you too. And if Pam doesn’t show up, I’m going to be so sad, I’ll probably jump in Lake Ontario and drown myself. That is Lake Ontario near Hamilton isn’t it?

For the last few years me and my family have been ILL for xmas. Last year we had a stomach bug…a bad one. We vomited away our xmas day and boxing day. The first spew of the season was xmas eve. I believe Chris had hard boiled eggs all alone for xmas dinner.
This year we all seemed to get a cold earlier in the month and I assumed we made it. Everyone was happy and healthy until Wednesday. That’s when Noah first puked. It came and went all week. Diarrhea and a little vomit here and there. He would fine one day and then ill the next. It was like Xmas was playing with us. A cruel cruel joke. Thursday night Brendan was up in the washroom about 5 times and then finally puked at about 5am. Ugh. Here it comes, I thought. Another xmas with our heads in a bucket.
But no, it wasn’t nearly that bad. We had several trips to the washroom during our xmas gathering, but there was only one vomit episode. Which belonged to Noah and was induced by whipped cream combined with coughing.
there were NO FEVERS this year. NO asthma, NO all over body chills. NO nyquil! No pepto bismal!
It just didn’t feel like a usual dingdong xmas….thank GOD for that.

I found this in my GMAIL account this evening….

HELLO SIR

My name is Richard Brain

I am an artist.I live in london

I have been selling my art for the last 2 years and have had my work featured on trading cards, prints and in books.I have sold in companiesand to private collectors from all around the world.I am always having serious problems when it comes to selling my art works to canadians/Americans and mostly in some parts of other
countries, they are always offering to pay witha POSTAL MONEY ORDER/ CASHIER CHEQUES,which is difficult for me to cash here in London.

I am looking for a representatives, who will be working for me as a partime worker and i will be willing to pay %10 for every transaction, which wouldnt affect your present state of work, someone who would help me recieve payments from my customers in the states and in some parts of some countries, which is not northern Ireland.i mean someone that is responsible and reliable, because the cost of coming to the states and other countries, and getting
payments is very expensive,i am working on setting up a branch in the states,so for now I need a representative in the united states, and some part of other countries.

These payments are in cashier cheques and they would come to you inyour name,so all you need do is cash the cashier cheques/money order deduct your percentage and wire the rest back.

YOUR REGARDS
Richard Brain

Ummm am I stupid or is that essentially money laundering?

No blogging yesterday. I was wholly occupied by moving around the boxes that overflow from my house into my drive way. I went through a few of the boxes and unpacked what I thought I’d want. Then moved the rest downstairs to the basement. Ohhh what a mess.
Later in the afternoon though, I managed another run. Funny, as I was running along I passed a small group of (elderly) walkers and as I overtook them they commented things like “what’s chasing you?” & “better you than me” you know..the usual chides. And how cold it was out there for me to be running in shorts and a t shirt. Mean while the weather was PERFECT for running. Overcast, cool and a nice breeze.
Then as I was running on the sidewalk (the old people here frighten me with their driving so I stick to the sidewalk mostly) I heard a tap tap tap, I looked up and saw an old man sitting in his living room window and he stuck his index finger up at me. I can only assume this was some sort of sign of encouragement. That or he was warning me about an attack from above. One can never tell these things.
Anyway it was about that time, that it dawned on me! I can hear these things! I heard those people! I had forgotten my MP3 player at home. My first solo run without it in a long while.
I could’ve gone back. But chose not to…there was a big hill involved both ways. So I kept going and going…I was once again alone with the voices in my head and this time it was not Trent Reznor. But was the kms trailed behind me, I noticed that I wasn’t nearly as winded as I had been on my most recent runs. The hills didn’t seem nearly as big. My heart was not pounding out of my chest. I had easily found my pace. Finally.
I am totally blaming the mp3 player for throwing me off on all of my post move runs! I thought I had lost a lot of endurance, I thought I was out of shape. Now I’m thinking I’m just an idiot that can’t control herself during ANY Nine Inch Nails song. See I thought NIN would be motivating…there is so much energy is his music. But it makes me run too fast! Ministry? Probably another bad choice…not such a good idea I guess. Chris suggested I fill it with ballads…but really there is one or two on there now and I skip over them to the good stuff when they come one.
Perhaps I need some easy listening type stuff. I can fill it with Sting…and…..um….Sting?
*sigh* I need a new play list…or to just leave the damn thing at home. But I mean really, when else will I ever listen to it? Oh well.
Chris leaves again on Monday so running will be at a minimum again. But don’t worry I am trying for a decent long run this weekend…16 maybe?

Our old house closes today, barring any wackiness on the part of the buyers. Who are,I assure you, a little wacky.

Oh my god I have to share this with you all. OK…..10 or 12 years ago when Chris and I were still hot (and childess), we took some photos….um….some….naughty ones.
And of course we’ve always kept them in a safe spot. Well, we have moved 8 times (at least) since we took those pictures and the safe spot seems to have changed from time to time. And quite frankly we had forgotten about the photos. So yesterday while going through some photos, I came across an envelope of naughtiness. I glanced at them, commented about how flipping HOT we where back them, and hid them quite well in our bedroom.
Later on, I was going through another box of photos when I came across another envelope of naughtiness! What the hell? So off I go again to sufficiently hide them.
When we bought our video camera when Brendan was born we alway always said we would NEVER make a naughty video..I mean first of all…I don’t EVER want to see myself doing that! And secondly these things are ALWAYS lost or inadvertently shown to the family at Christmas. So we never did…but now this nudie photos are all over my house! (no..I am not posting them…well maybe Chris’s).

I’m in some sort of odd paradox. There’s probably a rip in the time space continuem thingy or something. Cause EVERYTIME I head out for a run, I mentally plot out my route and think…ahh yeah..that’s 10…maybe 12k. You see I grew up here so I am judging distances by the last time I traveled them…like when I was 12 and my Dad had to drive me.
So I mentally plot out my route (everything is UP FLIPPIN HILL here) and trudge through it…running up hill both ways….then I get Chris to clock (notice…not GPS yet….people…my birthday was in MAY and he STILL hasn’t gotten it for me) and it always always always 7km or less. GAH! And I am always always shocked. I was NOT a lazy child! I was active!
Clearly I am not a good judge of distance.
So I didn’t blog yesterday…I hosted a birthday dinner for a sister that Feffie and I rarely mention. 10 people invaded my home…ate a ton of food and then left. Families dinners consisted of one extra person before we moved…now? It’s an entire leaf added to the table! More chairs than I even own! But it’s good. It’s chaotic. But it’s fun.
So now…I am off to read some blogs.
Did you all know Beth gave birth?
To a BABY!

So our house has still not sold. It’s been less than a month…but we really really need to just flipping sell. On saturday the people that looked, liked it but apparently there was a “smell” which confused us for a bit until we remembered the vomit covered duvet in the washing machine. Great.
We had a showing last night but haven’t heard any feed back yet. I mean it’s almost GOT to sell soon right? RIGHT!
I’m horrible at keeping the house clean, I HATE it. It’s constant. I’ve taken to cleaning it in the morning and then LEAVING with Noah for as long as possible. I come home in time for Brendan to arrive. I clean again, because in the 15 minutes we are home it’s a huge mess again. We hang out till Chris comes home. I pass him the <del datetime="2005-06-21T08:51:1104:00">broom</del> torch and I head out for a run.

Running has taken on a whole new use for me now. Not only is it for my physical well being, it clears my mind of course, I see my precious running friends AND NOW it gets me away from cleaning my FREAKISHLY MESSY HOUSE! How can I need to sweep 50 times a day? Do we shed sand? How can I sweep up a dogs worth of fur every single time I touch the broom? How can she still have any fur at all? I cannot wait until I can resume my regularly scheduled slobbiness. Or at least not have to clean 10 times a day. ugh.
