<p>Surprisingly, there are definate changes that have occured in just 1 WEEK!</p>
<p>Suddenly, most of my back pain is gone (not that iwas extreme but I did have a sore back after work etc)</p>
<p>(hmm I feel as though I mentioned this before)</p>
<p>Chris too is have less back problems&#8230;.he suffered an injury 2 years ago, and is suddenly waking up in the morning virtually pain free.</p>
<p>AND! He can touch his toes!</p>
<p>I can touch the ground in front of mine.</p>
<p>And in yoga I can get pretty close to accomplishing the &#8220;plough&#8221; position&#8230;which looks REALLY REALLY weird.</p>
<p>Tonight is pull up hell.</p>
<p>So we&#8217;ll see how that goes&#8230;I certainly can&#8217;t do 20.</p>
<p>My goal is 2.</p>
<p>Pathetic I know&#8230;but I&#8217;ve never had a lot of upper body strength.</p>
<p>Last night was stretch. I hour of stretches.</p>
<p>It oddly required a lot of strength but it was very relaxing&#8230;and encouraging to see our increased flexibility.</p>
<p>Am home with a slightly ill Noah. His cold is gone but his cough is lingering.</p>
<p>It;s the first bit of school he&#8217;s missed this year so he can afford to stay home one more day.</p>
<p>I am totally dragging his butt outside for a walk though!</p>

<p>I haven&#8217;t done a lot of Yoga&#8230;I&#8217;ve done a little pilates but that was years about and I&#8217;m not sure how qualified my instructor was.</p>
<p>He provides a beginner version right up to advanced and warns you to not go beyond your comfort zone (I&#8217;m sure he meant physical but I like to think the mental was implied)<br />
There was much of it we sat out&#8230;mostly cause we we couldn&#8217;t follow along all tied up like a pretzel&#8230;we went slow&#8230;and watched a lot.<br />
We did quite a bit&#8230;and it involves WAY MORE strength than I imagined.</p>
<p>BUT with what we did do yesterday&#8230;.even the beginner moves..my body feels FANTASTIC today.<br />
And for the first time in literally years my back does not hurt after work.</p>
<p>A seriously&#8230;.WTF?</p>
<p>Mind you, we did 2 dvds that involved different areas of the back.</p>
<p>So maybe the two combined?</p>
<p>Tonight is legs and back.<br />
Pray for me.</p>

<p>Mr Horton seemed to be a good fit.</p>
<p>Today is day four of P90-ohmygodkillme-X.<br />
days 1 -3 have kicked my ass. But in a good way. I&#8217;ve been a bit sore the next day&#8230;but luckily since you do a different part everyday you are still reasonably functional.</p>
<p>His cardio is good! You actually sweat..<span style="text-decoration: line-through;">.like a lot and sometimes cry&#8230;. a lot<br />

Tonight is Yo!ga X.</p>
<p>Which I will assume involves very little OHMS and a lot &#8220;oh my fucking god I HATE YOU T0NY H0RT0N&#8221;s.</p>

<p>I had decided early in the day I was going to run and so around 5pm I just threw on some running clothes and left.</p>
<p>I can just share with you the fact that I was NERVOUS. Nervous to run. Duh. Anyway I was terrified I would run 10 feet and have to walk.</p>
<p>I knew it wouldn&#8217;t be an easy run.  And it wasn&#8217;t going to be far.</p>
<p>So I chose my walk route of about 4.30 km&#8230;perfect&#8230;not too flat (nothing is around here) and I set out.</p>
<p>I start going down hill just for a bit..so I immediatley felt fantastic.  Once i get to the bottom (it&#8217;s maybe 200 ft from my house&#8230;or something) it&#8217;s 1.5k of FLAT with a little bit of a decline mixed it.</p>
<p>Still felt great&#8230;a slow easy pace&#8230;iP0d helping me along.</p>
<p>I took a tiny walk break at the end of the 1.5k cause i knew that was the end of the flat basically.</p>
<p>The remaining 3.7k are basically up hill&#8230;.there is a bit of a break but mostly it&#8217;s hilly.</p>
<p>But I ran it.</p>
<p>I mean the biggest hill took me a few walk breaks (which I hate taking on a hill&#8230;..hate it)</p>
<p>But I pushed myself, and I still felt great.</p>
<p>I think I expected to feel like an enphezema patient or something.</p>
<p>blah blah blah&#8230;got home&#8230;.sweating like a loonie&#8230;.did some stretches&#8230;.ate some dinner. Had a shower.</p>
<p>A great night sleep.</p>
<p>I woke up the next morning, stood up and immediatly regretted it.</p>
<p>OH MY GOD. It was like my first half marathon&#8230;maybe WORSE!</p>
<p>WTF? I haven&#8217;t been able to walk right ever since.</p>
<p>I am MUCH better today but not 100%.</p>
<p>I walked that night (the same route) thinking it would help, but it turns out I just ended up being pulled around by my dog and walked like I had braces on my legs (maybe I should have?).</p>
<p>Yesterday I skipped a run &amp; a walk in hopes of letting them heal.</p>
<p>I feel better today but I can still feel my muscles.</p>
<p>Do you think I should run??</p>
<p>I&#8217;m totally running.</p>

<p>And then I realized. Yeah.</p>
<p>It was 12:45 and I hadn&#8217;t eaten a bite all day.</p>
<p>Tea? Sure.</p>
<p>Water? yup.</p>
<p>Food? NO.</p>
<p>Why? Because my mother called and invited Noah over for lunch today. Which was her famous (and famously UNhealthy) newfie fish cakes. These things have made me actually vomit when i was pregnant JUSt from being in the same room and them while they were being prepared.</p>
<p>So obviously I was not going to eat a fish cake&#8230;pre-run.</p>
<p>Anyway&#8230;I was a hungry hungry hippo.</p>
<p>But I finished it anyway.</p>

<p>In the <strike>rain</strike> <strike>snow</strike> <strike>rain</strike> <strike>snow</strike> <strike>rain</strike> <strike>snow</strike> <strike>sleet</strike> <strike>blizzard</strike> <strike>rain</strike> snow <strike>fog</strike> and it didn&#8217;t completely blow. OK well, it blew a little bit, what with the driving rain and snow squall (perfect day to decide to head OUTSIDE for a run) . And it was HILLY! But I didn&#8217;t walk up every hill, I ran most to the top and everyone to at least the half way point.</p>
<p>My legs might not carry me tomorrow but Friday they will run that route again. It&#8217;s around the 5km mark&#8230;maybe a little less maybe a little more and it took me about 40 minutes. Not stellar but not too shabby for a fat girl.  (moo)</p>
<p>Weird thing though, my chest is now congested a little. Like I have a grumbly cough. Exactly as if I was smoking and decided to all of a sudden exercise. WHAT&#8217;S UP WITH THAT! DO NOT LIKE. DO NOT LIKE ONE BIT.</p>
<p>Do you think it&#8217;s possible&#8230;even remotely that it&#8217;s from visiting my Mom&#8217;s and inhaling her chimney of 2nd hand smoke?</p>
<p>COULD IT BE THAT?</p>
<p>That would not be cool.</p>
<p>GOD why doesn&#8217;t that woman quit smoking for crying out loud. She&#8217;s practically YELLOW now. Classy.</p>

<p>48 caramilk chocolate bars (the LARGE size) just walked through my door under the guise of school fund raising.</p>

<p>Decided to run home from work yesterday.</p>
<p>Packed bag of winter running stuff night before. Had to wait till morning to pack COLD winter running pants.</p>
<p>Got kids up in the morning. Rush rush rush dash dash dash. We were running slightly behind.</p>
<p>Got Brendan out the door on time.</p>
<p>Continued rush with Noah.</p>
<p>We were both ready, I dashed to get my heavy winter running pants. And then put them in my bag. Only when I opened &#8220;my&#8221; bag I found 5th grade math homework and a bright red lunch bag.</p>
<p>D&#8217;OH!</p>
<p>That&#8217;s right. Brendan had taken my bag with him to school (or so I thought), running shoes, RUNNING BRA, fabulous winter running shirt. Sitting in a grade 5 class and I was already 5 minutes late for work.</p>
<p>I had my father in law drop off Brendan&#8217;s bag to him, but didn&#8217;t mention bringing my bag to me as this would only cause confusion that I was in no mood to deal with.</p>
<p>All day I kept thinking &#8220;Bren has $300 worth of running clothes with him, he&#8217;s dead if he loses or forgets it&#8221;</p>
<p>Anyway&#8230;loooooooong agonizing non-running story short.</p>
<p>He had gone to school with NO bag, I just assumed he had taken my bag with him when I saw his bag. MY bag was in another room entirely.</p>
<p>Cause I&#8217;m smart like that.</p>
<p>No run yesterday, obviously.</p>

<p>So I ran for an hour and who the hell knows what speed but I was sweating and sweating hard. I could finally feel it in my legs at the end.</p>
<p>It was fabulous</p>
<p>My last few weeks of running it;s been the cardio that killed me. I was OUT OF SHAPE. I could barely breath after 15 minutes and would need to have a break (which is fine! that&#8217;s how we begin) to catch my breath and go again.</p>
<p>Tonight it was almost like I&#8217;d never stopped running (almost), finally my legs felt heavy and bulging during my first drink break (30 minutes in and I wasn&#8217;t even dieing for one).</p>
<p>So I&#8217;m all hopped up on endorphins and feel fabulous&#8230;I finally feel fabulous after a run again,</p>
